Many Senior Managers get to a stage in their business lives where they need to ‘refocus’ their career to achieve their own personal goals and ambitions. Often this occurs after a restructuring of a company, or simply as a result of stagnation within the management structure. Career Guidance Picture of Sports Cars

At this point they need guidance and direction from experts as to how to move things forward. In the same way they may employ a Business Consultant to migrate a factory; they need to employ a skilled Career Guidance / Outplacement Consultant to move their own lives in the right direction.

HtR can help provide some of that support.

We start by firstly sitting down with the individual to identify their skills, desires, motivation and career expectations. As part of this assessment we may use practical exercises to help measure an individual against senior management competencies, including the use of both Psychometric Testing and paper based role plays ‘depending on how much of an assessment the individual desires’.

The output of this initial assessment is the development of a personal ‘Career Business Plan’.

This plan may include elements such as guiding the individual on ‘Self Marketing’ and ‘Coaching and Training’ requirements. Within it also may be more pro-active activity by ourselves where we conduct ‘active marketing’ of the individual to potential employers in order to boost their exposure to new opportunity.

As the plan is delivered we will help overcome the ‘hurdles’ of finding a new role by providing advice on CV writing (and yes even Senior Managers get this part wrong); interview training; advice on Psychometric Testing and Skill Testing Exercises; along with very practical advice on how to behave within an Assessment Centre which includes running through example exercises with the individual. 

Where training is identified we have a number of individual who can provide ‘business and life coaching’ in areas such as general business skills and acumen, more general management skills, and personal well being - all support provided on a 1-2-1 basis.

Overall we aim to provide the extensive and individual support required to help an individual achieve their full potential.
